Meetings

Located in one of the tidal flats of the Han River estuary in Yellow Sea, Gangwha Island has one of the major wetlands of the Republic of Korea (ROK), including Gangwha Maehwamareum habitat designated as Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Sites).

In view of rapid urbanization in North-East Asia and its contribution of over one-third of global carbon dioxide emissions, North-East Asia Subregional Programme for Environmental Cooperation (NEASPEC) launched the North-East Asia Low Carbon City Platform (NEA-LCCP) in 2014.
