NEASPEC 25th Senior Officials Meeting
Twenty-fifth Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of NEASPEC will be organized on 20-21 September 2022 in a virtual modality.
SOM is an annual occasion to review the NEASPEC activities, discuss strengthening cooperation and formulate new initiatives. The upcoming SOM is expected to review all the progress made in 2022, to plan for 2023, and to discuss the provisional outlines of member States’ renewed commitments to NEASPEC.

Short presentations to be made by the Secretariat and partner institutions for each programme area, followed by interventions from delegations of member States.
The session will discuss the provisional outline of member States’ renewed commitments to NEASPEC, circulated by the Secretariat in July 2021, and other coordination matters.

The session will review the state of the C ore Fund and project based funds of NEASPEC Member governments are invited to announce intended cash and /or in kind contributions for 2022-2023.
The meeting will invite member States to express interest in hosting the next SOM. Member States may raise any other issues not covered under the items mentioned above.
The Report of the Meeting consists of two major parts (i) the conclusions and recommendations, and (ii) the proceedings of the SOM. The first part of the Report will be adopted by the SOM, and the second part will be prepared by the Secretariat after the Meeting and will be circulated to member States for review and approval.
